Q1.What is the difference between Microblading and Nanoblading?
The only difference is blade size: Microblading uses a micro blade, while Nanoblading uses a thinner nano blade for finer strokes. All of Mak’s work is hand-sculpted and done by hand.
Q2.Does the PMU / Nanoblading procedure hurt?
Client comfort is our highest priority. We apply a topical numbing agent before and during the procedure to ensure minimal to no discomfort. Most clients rate the sensation as very mild.
Q3.How long do healed Nano / Microbladed brows last?
Results typically last between 1 to 3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and skincare products (e.g. retinols/exfoliants). Because the thinner nano blade creates finer strokes, nanoblading can fade a bit faster, so some clients benefit from an additional perfecting session. We recommend an annual touch-up to maintain optimal color and crisp stroke definition.
Q4.What is included in the $1,111 Microblading package vs the $2,222 Nanoblading package?
The $1,111 Microblading package includes 2 sessions: your initial session plus 1 perfecting session spaced 6 to 8 weeks later. The $2,222 Nanoblading package includes 3 sessions: your initial session plus 2 perfecting sessions, because the thinner nano blade fades faster, some clients need a third session to reach full healed density. The two packages are not the same schedule; nanoblading simply requires an extra perfecting pass for select clients.
Q5.How should I prepare before my brow appointment?
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, ibuprofen, aspirin, and fish oil 24 to 48 hours prior to your session to minimize bleeding. Stop using retinols, AHAs, BHAs, and chemical peels around the brow area at least 2 weeks prior.
Q6.What is the healing process and aftercare like?
Brows will appear darker and bolder for the first 3 to 5 days before soft flaking begins around day 7. Keep brows clean and dry for 10 days, applying a light film of aftercare balm provided at the studio. Full healed color emerges around week 4.
Q7.What if I have prior PMU done by another artist?
If you have previous microblading or tattooing from another studio, you must book 'THEE BEST correction' or send clear photos to (786) 579-1669 for pre-approval before booking.
Q8.What is your consultation policy?
You can book a virtual consultation ($0) or an in-person consultation ($111 with $50 deposit). The consultation fee may be applied toward your future procedure within 30 days.
