Nano Brows and Nanoblading in Coconut Grove, Miami: What to Know Before You Book

Nanoblading is a semi-permanent brow technique that uses a thinner blade to draw finer, feather-like strokes by hand. At THEE BEST BROWS, a brow studio at 3333 Rice St in Coconut Grove, founder Mak does every stroke by hand. This guide covers how nanoblading differs from microblading, what the appointment involves, how to prepare, how healing goes, how long it lasts and what it costs.

Are nano brows the same as nanoblading?

Many people in Miami search for nano brows. At THEE BEST BROWS, nano brows means nanoblading done by hand: Mak draws fine, feather-like strokes with a thinner nano blade, and no machine is used. Some studios use the name nano brows for machine work, so ask any studio which method it uses before you book.

What is nanoblading, and how is it different from microblading?

The only difference is blade size. Microblading uses a micro blade. Nanoblading uses a thinner nano blade, which makes finer strokes. Neither one is done with a machine at this studio: all of Mak's work is hand-sculpted and done by hand.

In practice, that means nanoblading gives a softer, more delicate stroke pattern, while microblading is the studio's signature service for more defined brows. If you want the full picture of the larger blade, read our microblading guide. The rest of this page is about nanoblading.

Who is nanoblading a good fit for?

Nanoblading suits clients who want soft, natural-looking strokes that blend with the brow hair they already have, without drawing on brows every morning. You do not have to pick the technique on your own. An in-person consultation includes brow mapping, a pigment and skin analysis, and a technique recommendation: nano, microblading or a combination of the two.

If you already have microblading or tattooing from another artist, do not book a standard session. Book the THEE BEST correction service, or text clear photos to (786) 579-1669 for pre-approval first.

What happens at a nanoblading appointment?

The services page lists nanoblading at 120+ minutes, so plan for a long visit. Every procedure includes personalized facial mapping, pigment selection and hand-sculpted work.

  1. Mapping. Mak designs the shape around your features instead of using a cookie-cutter stencil.
  2. Pigment selection. Mak selects the pigment as part of your personalized plan.
  3. Numbing. A topical numbing agent is applied before and during the procedure.
  4. Nanoblading. Mak draws the fine strokes by hand with the nano blade.
  5. Aftercare. You leave with the aftercare balm provided at the studio.

Does nanoblading hurt?

Client comfort is the studio's highest priority. Because numbing is applied before and during the procedure, discomfort is minimal to none, and most clients rate the sensation as very mild. Individual sensitivity can differ.

How should you prepare for nanoblading?

  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, ibuprofen, aspirin and fish oil for 24 to 48 hours before your session. This helps minimize bleeding.
  • Stop retinols, AHAs, BHAs and chemical peels around the brow area at least 2 weeks before.

What does healing look like?

Brows look darker and bolder for the first 3 to 5 days. Soft flaking begins around day 7. Keep the brows clean and dry for 10 days, applying a light film of the aftercare balm provided at the studio. Full healed color shows up around week 4.

How long does nanoblading last?

Results typically last 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and skincare products such as retinols and exfoliants. Because the thinner nano blade makes finer strokes, nanoblading can fade a bit faster than microblading. For that reason, some clients benefit from an additional perfecting session.

The studio recommends an annual touch-up to keep color and stroke definition crisp. The annual touch-up starts at $444 and is for existing clients who have had at least two sessions of microblading or nanoblading within 12 months.

What does nanoblading cost, and do you need a consultation?

Current pricing on the services page for natural nanoblading:

  • Single session: $888.
  • Complete package: $2,222 for 3 sessions: your initial session plus 2 perfecting sessions, spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart.

The package has three sessions because the thinner blade fades faster, and some clients need a third session to reach full healed density.

Which consultation should you book?

A virtual consultation is $0 and takes 10 minutes. An in-person consultation is $111 with a $50 deposit, and the fee may be applied toward your future procedure within 30 days. More policy answers are on the FAQ page.
